Vinous Antonio Galloni - 30 Nov 22
The 2007 Comtes de Champagne Rosé is a very pretty wine to drink now and over the next two decades. Soft and inviting, with good energy, the 2007 is impeccable in its balance. Crushed red berry fruit, blood orange, cinnamon, rose petal and mint all meld together in this gracious, mid-weight Rosé from Taittinger. At times, the 2007 is generous, while at other moments, it is more classically austere in bearing. It will be interesting to see where things ultimately settle.

Champagne

Champagne, exclusively from France's Champagne region, is synonymous with luxury and celebration. Made primarily from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, it undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle, creating its signature bubbles. Flavours range from crisp green apple and citrus to rich, toasty notes of nuts and honey. Yeast contact in the bottle contributes to pastry and brioche notes, which are a key part of good quality Champagne. Top producers include Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, and Krug.
